Two leading voices from across Bengal will come together on April 18 as Anjan Dutt and Chanchal Chowdhury headline the third edition of “KCC Baithakkhana”, a popular cultural discussion series in Kolkata.
Organised by Kolkata Centre for Creativity, the event will be held at its venue in Anandapur, bringing together artistes from both sides of the border for a conversation on contemporary cinema.
The discussion will centre on the theme: “Art film and commercial film: is the divide disappearing?” Both speakers are expected to draw on their cross-industry experience to reflect on shifting audience tastes and evolving storytelling formats.
The session will be moderated by Chandril Bhattacharya, known for his work as a lyricist, poet, and filmmaker.
Organisers said the presence of two prominent figures from Bangladesh and India is expected to give the session added depth, with their exchange marking the opening of this edition of the series.
