Pori Moni and Chanchal Chowdhury are set to collaborate for the first time in a film inspired by Rabindranath Tagore’s short story “Shasti”.

Multiple sources associated with the project have confirmed to The Daily Star that the film is being made in a contemporary setting, drawing inspiration from Tagore’s classic work. The film is directed by Leesa Gazi, with its official announcement expected to be made today.

Notably, no new film starring Pori Moni was released in 2025. Although the shooting of “Dodor Golpo” has been completed, the film is yet to be released. Additionally, while a project titled “Golap” was announced at the beginning of last year, filming has not yet begun.

Meanwhile, Chanchal Chowdhury remains busy with multiple projects. The actor is currently shooting for Tanim Noor’s “Bonolota Express” and Redoan Rony’s “Domm”.
