Police recovered the bodies of a man and his two children in Sharsha upazila of Jashore Tuesday afternoon.

The deceased are Kamal Hossain, 45, of Chotkapota Dakshinpara area, and his children Md Sabir Hossain, 5, and Md Jabir Hossain, 3, said Sharsha Police Station Officer-in-Charge Shaminul Haque.
Kamal was a van puller by profession.

Police suspect that the man murdered his two young children before taking his own life, reportedly over a family dispute.

The incident occurred around 4:00pm on Tuesday.

Police and local residents said Kamal died by suicide after consuming pesticide, following the deaths of his two sons, whom he allegedly killed.

Receiving the news, police went to their house and recovered the bodies. After the inquest reports, the bodies were sent to Jashore General Hospital for autopsies.

Police said Kamal's wife, Rabia Begum, had left for her father's house in Narail about a week ago following a family dispute.
