Actor and filmmaker Tauquir Ahmed is set to star in “The Orange”, a France-Bangladesh joint-production film to be directed by Swapan Ahmed, known for his 2012 film “Lal Tip”.

Tauquir Ahmed is set to take on an important role in “The Orange”. The project is expected to go into production soon, with filming scheduled to take place in France.

Speaking about the project, Tauquir said he was drawn to both the story and his character.

“I liked both the story and the character. That is why I decided to take on the project. I also enjoyed speaking with the director and felt that the work has the potential to turn out well,” he said.Elaborating on his role, the actor added, “My character has considerable importance in the story. I am drawn to good stories and strong characters, and that is why I am taking on this new film.”Tauquir, who has also directed several acclaimed films, said “The Orange” aligns with the kind of cinema he prefers to be associated with.“I tend to choose films that have artistic merit and reflect the kind of cinema I believe in. This is going to be a project of that kind,” he said.Meanwhile, Tauquir is also expected to work on “Soldier”, starring Shakib Khan in the lead role and also featuring Tariq Anam Khan. Directed by Shakeeb Fahad, the film will see Tauquir in a negative role.The shooting of “Soldier” is yet to be completed.
