Xiaomi on Monday launched its smart living home appliance series in Bangladesh, marking a significant step in its evolution from a smartphone-focused brand to a comprehensive lifestyle ecosystem provider.

The announcement was made at a launch event held on the day at Sheraton Dhaka under the theme ‘Xiaomi Smart Living for Everyone.’

Through this expansion, Xiaomi Bangladesh aims to strengthen its presence in the country’s growing smart home and ‘Artificial Intelligence of Things’ market.

Xiaomi Bangladesh country manager Ziauddin Chowdhury said that modern consumers were increasingly seeking integrated technology solutions rather than standalone devices. With its ‘human-home-car’ ecosystem strategy, Xiaomi aims to deliver seamless interoperability, allowing users to control multiple smart devices through a single application, he said.

As part of its entry into the home appliance segment, Xiaomi introduced Mijia Front Load Washer Dryer with 10.5-kilogram capacity, priced at Tk 74,999.

It features a complete wash-and-dry cycle in 59 minutes and steam wash technology capable of eliminating up to 99.99 per cent of bacteria.

The company also unveiled two new television series featuring a total of nine models across different sizes. These TVs come with ultra-narrow bezel designs, offering a high screen-to-body ratio for a more immersive viewing experience, along with dual 12W speakers for enhanced audio output.

Xiaomi also introduced two air fryer models — a 6.5L version priced at Tk 14,499 and a 6L version at Tk 9,999, offering healthier cooking with less oil, 51 per cent boost in efficiency, flip-free cooking, 7 preset modes and access to over 100 online recipes.

The Xiaomi Air Purifier 4 series, which includes 4 Compact available at Tk 12,999 and 4 Lite at  Tk 21,999, is designed to filter up to 99.97 per cent of airborne particles while consuming less power with a long-lasting filter.

In the smart security segment, Xiaomi unveiled a range of smart cameras equipped with MJA1 security chips, finance-grade data protection, real-time two-way voice calls and clear day-and-night vision.

The C201 model is priced at Tk 2,999, the C301 at Tk 4,799 and the outdoor variants at Tk 5,999.
