The Department of Journalism, Media and Communication at Daffodil International University (DIU) has held the closing ceremony of the Women Media Leaders of Tomorrow (WMLT) programme.

The initiative is part of the AGILE project led by Fojo Media Institute, Linnaeus University, Sweden, in collaboration with the Communication and Journalism Educators Network, and co-funded by the European Union. The programme ran from October 2025 to January 2026.

Students, faculty members and guests attended the event, including Professor Dr. Liza Sharmina, Professor Dr. Gregory Simons and Syed Raihan.

Dr. Aftab Hossain, head of the department, said, “Opportunities come to those who stay connected, committed, and ready to grow.”

Dr. Abdul Kabil Khan said, “Mentorship is not limited to classrooms it’s a lifelong bond.”

Participants shared their experiences. Jinnat Ara Jasoa said, “Don’t wait for the perfect time; build your career step by step.” Halima Akter said, “Sometimes the hardest struggles create the strongest version of you.”

A recorded message from Sofie Gullberg of Fojo Media Institute was also presented.
