The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has postponed the final of the Federation Cup between Bashundhara Kings and Mohammedan Sporting Club by a day following discussions surrounding the venue for the title-deciding clash.

The final was originally scheduled to be held on Tuesday at 5:30pm at the Kings Arena in Bashundhara Sports City. However, the BFF announced through a press release that the match would now take place on Wednesday at the same venue and time.

The development came after Mohammedan formally wrote to the federation requesting that the final be shifted to a neutral venue. Kings Arena serves as the home ground of Bashundhara Kings, who are also the defending champions of the tournament and the champions-elect of the Bangladesh Football League.

The BFF held a series of meetings with Mohammedan and Kings officials over the last few days before arriving at the decision to postpone the match by 24 hours while keeping the venue unchanged.

The final will now be played at the Kings Arena on Wednesday at 5:30pm.
