Paul Thomas Anderson's politically charged drama "One Battle After Another" emerged as the dominant force at the 2026 Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards nominations, leading the field with a record-breaking seven nods and strengthening its position as a major Oscars frontrunner.

The film, which stars Leonardo DiCaprio as an aging revolutionary and Chase Infiniti as his teenage daughter, earned nominations for best ensemble, SAG's equivalent of best picture, as well as individual acting honours across multiple categories. DiCaprio received a best male actor nomination, while Infiniti was recognised in the best female actor category. The supporting acting nominations went to Sean Penn and Benicio Del Toro, with Teyana Taylor earning a nod for best supporting actress. The film also secured a nomination for best stunt ensemble.

The best ensemble category will also feature "Frankenstein", "Hamnet", and "Marty Supreme". In the individual acting races, Timothée Chalamet earned a best actor nomination for "Marty Supreme", while Jessie Buckley was recognised for her performance as William Shakespeare's wife in "Hamnet". Both actors recently won Critics Choice Awards, with Davis calling the best actor race particularly competitive and describing Buckley as the clear favourite in the best actress category.

Voted on by Hollywood actors, the largest branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the SAG Awards are closely watched as a key indicator of Oscar success. Recently rebranded as the Actor Awards, the ceremony will take place on March 1 in Los Angeles and will stream live on Netflix.
