Bangladesh Nationalist Party senior joint secretary general Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi was admitted to Square Hospital in the capital on Tuesday.

His personal assistant Arifur Rahman Tushar said that the BNP leader was taken to the hospital at about 3:00pm due to breathing difficulties.

He said that Rizvi had been suffering from fever, cold and respiratory problems for the past few days.

On behalf of Rizvi and his family, Tushar called upon people across the country to pray for the BNP leader’s early recovery.
