The Rapid Action Battalion on Monday arrested suspect Millon in connection with the murder case of a Class X schoolgirl in South Banasri area in Bangladesh capital Dhaka, whose throat-slit body was recently found in the house.
RAB-3 staff officer (media) senior assistant superintendent of police Sanad Barua told New Age that teams of RAB-3 and RAB-6 jointly conducted a drive in Boro Singha area in Bagerhat district and arrested the suspect Millon.
Further details will be known after the arrestee will be taken to Dhaka, mentioned the elite force personnel.
Victim Fatema Akter Nili’s father Mohammad Sajib on Sunday filed the murder case against unnamed people with Khilgaon police station following the recovery of Fatema’s throat-slit body at her rented house in the South Banasri area on Saturday.
Fatema’s brother, Mohammad Shakil, earlier said that they suspected their restaurant staff over the murder of her sister.
‘Millon remains fugitive after the incident,’ he said, referring to an employee of the restaurant.
Quoting the victim’s sister, Khilgaon police station officer-in-charge Md Shafikul Islam said that their father, mother, sister, brother and sister-in-law went to their village home in Kalauk area in Habiganj on January 7, leaving Shova and Fatema at their Dhaka house.
