Hamida Begum, a client of the Gorai Sub-branch in Tangail, and Anup Kumar, a client of the Gulshan Corporate Branch in Dhaka, have won gear bicycles on the first day of the Remittance Festival by receiving remittance through Western Union at Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC, according to a press release.
They won these prizes against remittances sent by Zahid Sikder, an expatriate in Brunei, Darussalam and Sarah Sabrina, a USA citizen. Md. Altaf Hossain, Managing Director (Current Charge) of the bank, was present as the chief guest at the digital raffle draw held at the Islami Bank Tower on Monday.
Md. Rafiqul Islam, Deputy Managing Director, Md. Abul Hasan, Senior Vice President, Md. Motahar Hossain Molla, Head of Foreign Remittance Services Division, Md. Shahadat Hossain, Head of Overseas Banking Division, and representatives from Western Union also attended the program.
In this campaign, a total of 34 gear bicycles, two each on every banking day, through a digital raffle draw among the remittance recipients are being awarded. Additionally, remittance clients are receiving a wall clock as a guaranteed gift. The campaign will continue until May 31, 2026.
