As many as 99 candidates from different political parties, including Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) chairman Tarique Rahman, have won victory after participating for the first-time in the Jatiya Sangsad (JS) elections held on 12 February.

In the polls, as many as 10 young leaders of the second generation, successors of senior BNP leaders, have won the 13th general polls getting nomination from the BNP with the ‘Sheaf of Paddy’, according to election commission (EC).
