The left-aligned political platform, Network for People’s Action (NPA), was officially launched today at Dhaka's Central Shaheed Minar.

The platform officially began its journey at 4:00pm this afternoon, when the organisers announced a preliminary committee and outlined a draft political manifesto.

Speaking at the programme, Anik Roy, former general secretary of the Bangladesh Chhatra Union and former joint convener of the NCP, said, “NPA has been established to unite those committed to building a social democratic movement.”

The event was addressed by three committee spokespersons: Tuhin Khan; Nazifa Jannat, vice president of the Chhatra Union central unit; and Ferdous Ara, poet and activist.
