Students, parents and staff members formed a human chain and staged a protest song performance in front of Chhayanaut Cultural Centre in Dhanmondi on Thursday, demanding justice for seven-year-old schoolgirl, a second-grade student who was killed after rape in Pallabi.

Participants called for a safe and secure childhood for every child, an end to child abuse and killings, and the swift trial and punishment of those responsible for such crimes.


Holding placards and banners, students of Nalanda High School urged the government to take stronger measures to protect children and uphold their rights.

Through songs of protest and solidarity, the demonstrators highlighted the importance of ensuring children’s safety, dignity and well-being.
