Three Bangladeshi men were killed and another was seriously injured following an altercation at a house in Taman Linggi, Malaysia, yesterday afternoon, The New Straits Times reported.

Negri Sembilan police have arrested a Bangladeshi man in his 40s in connection with the incident.

Negri Sembilan police chief Datuk Alzafny Ahmad said police received a report around 4:15pm yesterday about a fight involving several Bangladeshi nationals at the house.

A team from Linggi Police Station responded to the report and arrested the suspect at the scene.

During the investigation, police discovered the bodies of three Bangladeshi men at the Sua Manggis estate in Linggi.

Police said the three victims died after suffering severe injuries to different parts of their bodies. Another Bangladeshi man sustained injuries and is receiving treatment at Rembau Hospital.

Preliminary investigations found that all those involved were co-workers who lived and worked together at the same residence. Police said the incident occurred at several locations, and investigations are underway to establish the sequence of events.

Police said the suspect has no previous criminal record. He was scheduled to be produced before the Port Dickson Magistrate's Court yesterday for a remand hearing.

The case is being investigated under Section 302 of Malaysia's Penal Code for murder. Police said the motive remains under investigation.
