TechVan, a vertical of Banglalink focused on affordable mobile and digital devices through instalment-based financing, has launched two new TECNO smartphones with bundled connectivity packages in Bangladesh, said a press release.

The partnership introduces the TECNO SPARK 50 and TECNO SPARK Go 3 to the local market with structured device financing and year-long data offers.

Under the initiative, customers will be able to purchase the smartphones through a nine-month instalment facility at selected TECNO branded retail outlets. The TECNO SPARK 50 has been priced at Tk 19,999, while the TECNO SPARK Go 3 will cost Tk 14,999, targeting entry-level smartphone users.

The companies said that each device would come with a 12-month Banglalink connectivity package for both new and existing customers. The package includes a total of 80 GB internet data, 800 voice minutes and complimentary access to Toffee, the country’s OTT entertainment platform.

Customers will receive 25 GB internet data and 250 voice minutes in the first month, followed by 5 GB internet data and 50 voice minutes per month for the remaining 11 months.

The smartphones along with the bundled connectivity offers are now available nationwide at TECNO branded retail outlets and Banglalink customer care centres.

Taimur Rahman, chief corporate and regulatory affairs officer of Banglalink, said that smartphone affordability remained one of the major barriers to digital adoption in Bangladesh.

‘Through TechVan, we aim to make smart devices and digital connectivity more accessible with flexible instalment-based financing and bundled connectivity benefits,’ he said.

He said that smartphones now played an important role in communication, education, entertainment and access to digital services.
