Bollywood megastar and icon Shah Rukh Khan stands out as the sole Indian personality included in the New York Times list of the 67 Most Stylish People of 2025.

He secured his place on the list for the striking all-black Sabyasachi Mukherjee outfit he wore during his debut Met Gala appearance on May 5 at New York City's Metropolitan Museum of Art.

The New York Times piece notes that "widely adored as SRK, Bollywood's biggest icon — and one of the most recognisable actors globally — made the Met Gala feel like part of his world as he attended for the first time, dressed in a creation by Sabyasachi Mukherjee."

Shah Rukh's look featured a floor-length, extended coat crafted from Tasmanian superfine wool, accented with monogrammed Japanese horn buttons — a subtle tribute to this year's Met Gala theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style.

The actor's single-breasted coat came with a peak collar and broad lapels, which he teamed with a crepe de chine silk shirt and tailored trousers made of superfine wool. A pleated satin kamarbandh added dimension to the ensemble, while a custom arrangement of chokers and chains — featuring a pendant engraved with the letter 'K' — completed the styling. Shah Rukh also wore embellished finger rings and carried a walking stick topped with a tiger motif.

Others featured on the list include Cardi B, ASAP Rocky, Sabrina Carpenter, Jennifer Lawrence, Kendrick Lamar, and Timothée Chalamet.

The 60-year-old star is presently shooting for Siddharth Anand's much-anticipated film "King". The action-packed project, slated for a 2026 theatrical release, will see Shah Rukh share the screen with Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Suhana Khan.
