Apple has unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max, introducing its first flagship smartphones under new chief executive John Ternus.

The new models are powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chip, with the company claiming they deliver the longest battery life yet offered in an iPhone. They retain the broad design introduced with last year’s Pro models, including an aluminium body, vapour-chamber cooling and the full-width rear camera section Apple calls the “plateau”.

Apple is offering the phones in deep black, silver, glacier and burgundy, with colour-matched rear glass. Both models also retain the 18-megapixel Center Stage front camera introduced with the previous generation.
