Actor Ranveer Singh has officially kicked off promotions for the sequel to his blockbuster spy thriller “Dhurandhar”. On Tuesday morning, the actor revealed the first-look poster of the film and confirmed that “Dhurandhar 2” is titled “Dhurandhar: The Revenge”.

Sharing the poster on Instagram in multiple languages—including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam—Ranveer unveiled his character Hamza (also known as Jaskirat) in a striking new avatar. The rain-soaked poster shows the actor staring straight into the camera with clenched fists, drenched in red light, signalling a darker and more aggressive turn for the character. “Ab bigadne ka waqt aa gaya hai,” Ranveer wrote in the caption, hinting at Hamza’s all-out retaliation against the Baloch gang and the ISI in the sequel.

The actor also confirmed that the teaser for “Dhurandhar: The Revenge” would drop later in the day and announced the film’s theatrical release date. The sequel is set to hit cinemas worldwide on March 19, 2026, across five languages.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that Ranveer tagged Akshaye Khanna in his announcement post. Khanna played the antagonist Rehman Dakait in the first film, a character who was killed in the climax. His mention has fuelled speculation that the actor may return in “Dhurandhar: The Revenge”, possibly through flashback sequences.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar was released on December 5 and followed an Indian spy infiltrating Karachi’s criminal underworld to dismantle its links with terror outfits. Alongside Ranveer Singh and Akshaye Khanna, the film featured Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, all of whom are expected to return for the sequel.

The first film emerged as one of the biggest commercial successes in Bollywood history, earning over ₹1,300 crore worldwide, setting high expectations for its follow-up.
