Sony’s animated feature “GOAT” opened in second place, earning $7.1 million from 3,863 locations. The family film, produced by NBA star Stephen Curry, is projected to collect around $25 million over the holiday frame. Caleb McLaughlin leads the voice cast.

Amazon MGM’s heist thriller “Crime 101” debuted at No 3 with $3.9 million from 3,161 theatres and is expected to earn $13.8 million over the extended weekend.
