The Bangladesh-China Business Summit 2026 was held on Saturday at Crowne Plaza Dhaka Gulshan, bringing key business leaders from both nations to enhance investment and commercial ties.

The summit aimed to foster cross-sector collaborations, with discussions on long-term partnerships involving various sectors, including banking, said a press release.

The day-long summit was organised by the Bangladesh China Club Limited.

BCCL was supported in this initiative by the Global Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, China and the International Business Strategy Committee of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Business Federation.

United Commercial Bank PLC served as the title sponsor of the event.

Key figures from China’s investment, healthcare, manufacturing, renewable energy, trade, and education sectors attended the summit.

Chairman of the Sustainable and Renewable Energy Development Authority, Muzaffar Ahmed, attended the event as chief guest.

Administrator of the e-Commerce Association of Bangladesh and chief executive officer of the Bangladesh Foreign Trade Institute, Saif Uddin Ahmed and managing director and chief executive officer of UCB, Mohammad Mamdudur Rashid, attended the event as special guests.

Additional managing director of UCB, Adnan Masud, also attended the event.

Speakers expressed hope that this summit would strengthen the trade, partnership, and long-term financial cooperation between Bangladesh and China.

Various sessions of the summit featured discussions on international trade networking, B2B business opportunities, investment, banking, and financial cooperation.
