Acclaimed actor Mosharraf Karim has returned to Bangladesh after performing Umrah in Saudi Arabia and has already resumed work on two new television dramas directed by Sagar Jahan.
The actor flew back home on February 11 after spending 10 days in Saudi Arabia with his wife, Robena Reza Jui. Just days after his return, Mosharraf began shooting on February 15 for two upcoming projects titled “Soda Shotto Bolibo” and “Adu Bhai”.
Speaking about reuniting with Sagar Jahan after a long time, Mosharraf said he felt nostalgic working with the director again. “It has been a while since I worked with Sagar Jahan. Many old memories are coming back. I am enjoying the work. Looking at the director’s face during shooting, I felt he was satisfied. I am also content working with him,” he said.
“Soda Shotto Bolibo”, written by Ashraful Chanchal, features Aisha Khan opposite Mosharraf Karim. The drama is set to air as part of NTV’s Eid special programming.
Describing the story, Mosharraf said the drama revolves around the simple and sincere love story of an honest man. “It’s an open-hearted love story. As a co-actor, Aisha Khan is doing very well. I always enjoy working on Sagar Jahan’s projects. This one is shaping up nicely too. I hope viewers will get a touch of the old flavour,” he added.
Moreover,director Sagar Jahan confirmed that shooting for “Adu Bhai” is taking place today and tomorrow. In this drama as well, Aisha Khan stars opposite Mosharraf Karim. The script has been written by Arko Mostafa, and the production promises a humorous storyline. The drama is scheduled to air on a private television channel during Eid.
Over the years, Mosharraf Karim has received widespread acclaim for his performances in several Sagar Jahan-directed works, including popular series such as “Sikandar Box”, “Average Aslam”, “Mahin”, “Tal Mischiri Na Hawai Mithai”, “Fatman”, and “Kobul Bolilo Ke”. He has also starred in standalone dramas like “Ekti Adorsho Biddaloy”, “Mon Dorja”, “Sheshta Amar Chhilo”, among many others.
