Six more children have died of measles-like symptoms across the country in the 24 hours till 8:00am today, taking the total death toll to 594.

Of the total deaths, 90 were recorded as confirmed measles deaths, while 504 died with measles-like symptoms since March 15, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Among the deaths, four were recorded in Dhaka, while one each was reported from Sylhet and Rajshahi divisions.

During the same period, the number of suspected measles cases was 1,292, taking the total suspected cases to 73,362.

A total of 42 confirmed cases were recorded in the last 24 hours, taking the total confirmed cases to 9,136 DGHS data shows.
