At least five dengue patients died and 839 others were hospitalised in the 24 hours till 8:00am today, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Of the deaths, three were reported in Dhaka South City Corporation, and one each in Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions.

With the new deaths and cases, the total number of deaths rose to 82 and cases to 28,929.

Currently, 1,951 dengue patients are undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country.
