95 percent of organisations globally do not have full trust in their cybersecurity vendors, according to a new study by Sophos.
According to a press release, the findings are drawn from a vendor-agnostic survey of 5,000 organisations across 17 countries and published in the Cybersecurity Trust Reality 2026 report, which examines how trust affects operational risk and board-level decision-making.
Around 79 percent of respondents said it is difficult to evaluate the trustworthiness of new cybersecurity partners, while 62 percent reported similar concerns with their existing providers. 51 percent, said the lack of trust increases their anxiety about the risk of a major cyber incident, as per the press release by Sophos.
