A fire broke out at a foam manufacturing factory near Saddam Market in Kadamtali, Dhaka on Friday evening.

Five firefighting units are currently working to bring the blaze under control, said Fire Service and Civil Defence Headquarters deputy assistant director (media cell) Shahjahan Sikder minutes after 8:30pm.

The fire service received information about the fire at about 6:30pm and immediately dispatched a unit to the scene.

Later, additional units joined to support the initial response team, said Shahjahan, adding that the cause of the fire could not be known immediately.

He also said that no casualties had been reported so far.
