On the fifth day of the Dhaka International Film Festival (DIFF), audiences will be treated to a vibrant showcase of global cinema, with films from Bangladesh and several Asian and European countries being screened across multiple venues in the capital. The day’s lineup features works from countries including the Philippines, China, Iran and Turkey, alongside notable local productions.
One of the highlights of the day is the screening of “Agontuk”, directed by Sumon Dhar and starring Puja Chery. In total, 21 films will be screened across five venues. The Bangladesh National Museum will host ten screenings, with five films each at its Main Auditorium and Sufia Kamal Auditorium. The Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy will screen four films, while Alliance Française de Dhaka will host three screenings. Stamford University Bangladesh will also present four films throughout the day.
The festival will continue until January 18, promising audiences an expansive and diverse cinematic experience.
