Different political parties on Saturday at separate protest programmes in Dhaka called on the world community to condemn the joint attack on Iran by the United States and Israel and force them to stop the attack.

The joint forces on Saturday launched a military attack on the Gulf state, targeting its key strategic areas in an attempt to topple the country’s regime.

Socialist Party of Bangladesh held a rally in front of the National Press Club with its general secretary Bazlur Rashid Firoz in chair, protesting against the attacks.

Party assistant general secretary Razequzzaman Ratan called on all political parties to voice united protest against the attack. Central leaders Nikhil Das and Shampa Basu also spoke at the rally followed by a protest procession.

Central executive committee of Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal-Jasod and Jatiya Mukti Council coordinator of Faiezul Hakim in separate press statements condemned the US and Israel, calling for an immediate end to the attack.

Mukti Council will hold countrywide rallies on Monday protesting against the attack, Faiezul Hakim said.

Revolutionary Communist League general secretary Iqbal Kabir Jahid and Bangladesher Samajtantrk Dal faction general secretary Harun-or-Rashid also condemned the attack in separate media statements.
