The International Crimes Tribunal-2 will deliver its verdict tomorrow in a crimes against humanity case against Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader and six other leaders of the party and its affiliated organisations over atrocities committed during the July uprising in 2024.

The tribunal announced the date today.

The case was kept awaiting verdict after the prosecution and defence concluded their arguments.

The prosecution concluded its six-day closing arguments on August 12, followed by five days of arguments from two state-appointed defence lawyers.

The other accused are former state minister for information Mohammad Ali Arafat, AL Joint General Secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash, its General Secretary Moinul Hossain Nikhil, Chhatra League President Saddam Hussain and its General Secretary Sheikh Wali Asif Enan.

The tribunal framed charges against the seven accused on January 22.
