Midland Bank PLC (MDB) signed an agreement with United Medical College Hospital to provide healthcare benefits and discounted medical services to the bank’s cardholders, employees and their dependents.
Md Nazmul Huda Sarkar, deputy managing director of the bank, and Mohammad Faizur Rahman, chief executive officer of the healthcare division at United Group, signed the agreement at a ceremony held in Dhaka recently, according to a press release.
Under the partnership, Midland Bank cardholders and employees, including their dependents, will enjoy a 30 percent discount on special healthcare packages and a 20 percent discount on all pathological tests.
They will also receive a 10 percent discount on all diagnostic tests and other services, as well as a 5 percent discount on inpatient room tariffs at United Medical College Hospital.
The agreement aims to provide the bank’s cardholders, employees and their dependents with access to quality healthcare and diagnostic services at preferential rates while enhancing the value-added benefits offered by Midland Bank.
Md Abed-Ur-Rahman, head of cards at the bank; SM Enamul Haque, assistant vice-president; Abu Raihan Al Beruni, chief financial officer; and Ariful Hoque, assistant general manager of business development, along with other senior officials from both organisations, were also present at the signing ceremony.
