The remains of popular film star Salman Shah will be exhumed from his grave, followed by the preparation of an inquest report and an autopsy, as part of efforts to determine the actual cause of his death.
Confirming the development to BSS, investigating officer and CID inspector Ziaul Morshed said he had sought the court’s permission to exhume the remains of Salman Shah, prepare an inquest report and conduct an autopsy in the presence of an executive magistrate to determine the actual cause of his death.
‘The court granted the petition. There are some procedural formalities to be completed. Once those are done, we will exhume the body, prepare the inquest report and conduct the autopsy,’ he said.
The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Jewel Rana passed the order recently.
