The HSC and equivalent examinations scheduled for July 13, 15 and 16 in all districts under the Chattogram Education Board have been postponed considering the flood situation.

The Bangladesh Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee announced the decision in a notice issued today, signed by Prof Syed Akhtaruzzaman, chairman of the committee.

The decision was taken considering the flood situation, reports from all deputy commissioners under the Chattogram Education Board, and a request from the Chattogram board’s controller of examinations to postpone the exams, the notice said.

The postponement applies to HSC examinations under the Chattogram Education Board in all districts under its jurisdiction.

It will also apply to Alim examinations under the Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board and HSC (BMT), HSC (Vocational) and Diploma in Commerce examinations under the Bangladesh Technical Education Board in districts under the Chattogram board.

However, examinations under other education boards will be held as scheduled. Alim and technical board examinations in districts outside the Chattogram board’s jurisdiction will also be held as usual, the notice said.

The revised schedule for the postponed examinations will be announced later.

Earlier, the committee postponed the HSC and equivalent examinations scheduled for July 8 in all districts under the Chattogram Education Board, citing the flood situation. The exams scheduled for July 11 in the same areas were also postponed on the same grounds.
