Six more children have died from measles and measles-like symptoms across the country in the last 24 hours.
The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) said on Sunday one of the cases was a confirmed case of measles, while the remaining five exhibited symptoms of the disease.
The death toll has now climbed to 75 confirmed measles fatalities since Mar 15, according to the health directorate's regular bulletin.
Additionally, 384 people have died with suspected measles symptoms during this period.
The Dhaka Division has recorded the highest number of symptomatic deaths at 153, followed by the Rajshahi Division with 78 fatalities.
In the latest reporting cycle, 243 people tested positive for measles, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 7,767 since Mar 15.
A total of 1,274 people sought treatment with measles-like symptoms in the past day. Of them, 1,064 required hospitalisation.
Dhaka’s hospitals saw the highest influx of new symptomatic admissions with 428 patients, while Rangpur recorded the lowest with 15 admissions.
Data from the DGHS shows that the total number of suspected measles patients in the country has reached 57,876 since Mar 15.
