The Embassy of Brazil in Dhaka has expressed heartfelt gratitude to Bangladesh's passionate supporters of the Brazilian national football team, saying their unwavering affection demonstrates how football can forge bonds beyond geography, language, and borders.

"Your love for our national team moves us deeply," Ambassador Paulo FD Feres said today in a message addressed to the "Friends of Brazil in Bangladesh".

He acknowledged the disappointment felt by millions of Brazilian supporters around the world after today’s match, adding that many of those disappointed hearts were in Bangladesh.

He thanked Brazilian supporters in Bangladesh for wearing Brazil's colours, raising its flag, singing for its players and believing in the national team with "generous and sincere passion".

Describing the defeat as painful, the message noted that football, for Brazilians, is far more than a game.

"It is memory, childhood, family, music, joy, hope and, sometimes, as today, heartbreak. But heartbreak is also part of every great love. And the love between Brazil and football has survived many painful nights," it said.

The message referred to Brazil head coach Carlo Ancelotti and Brazilian Football Confederation football coordinator Rodrigo Caetano, saying both had stressed that the defeat marked not the end of a story but the beginning of a new cycle.

"These words matter. Brazil will rise again, not because defeat is easy to overcome, but because rising again is part of who we are," it said.

"Your affection is a gift to the Brazilian people. In moments like this, we understand that football can create a kind of brotherhood stronger than distance, language or borders," the message further said.

"The yellow jersey will shine again. The music will return. The joy will return. And when Brazil rises once more, we will remember those who stood by us when the night was hardest," the message said.
