Bangladesh Premier League action returned to the field on Friday as the Dhaka leg started with a decent crowd at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Chattogram Royals, the early pace-setters, inserted Noakhali Express to batting after winning the toss in the 2:00pm start.
The match takes place following drama over the last 36 hours, which saw cricketers boycott scheduled.matches on Thursday in demand of resignation of BCB director M Najmul Islam, who had made disparaging remarks about cricketers.
The impasse has been resolved since, with Najmul removed from position of finance committee chairman and further promises.
The second match of the day, slated to begin at 7:00pm, will pit Rajshahi Warriors against Sylhet Titans.

Meanwhile, ahead of the Dhaka leg, Rangpur Riders this morning announced that national team's T20I captain Litton Das has been made the franchise's captain, removing Nurul Hasan Sohan from his position following a poor run of form, which saw Rangpur lose three matches on the trot.
Sohan himself has been poor with the bat, too, having scored 30 runs in six innings in this year's BPL.
Rangpur, despite their slump in form, are in pole position to grab the fourth and remaining playoff spot.
