The Pflugerville Arts Council has organised a 28-day exhibition of actor and visual artist Sazu Khadem titled Reflections Within under way at the Pflugerville Public Library at Austin, Texas in the United States.

The exhibition is featuring 35 acrylic and mixed media on canvas artworks, exploring emotional landscapes of identity, memory and inner dialogue through layered textures and expressive forms, said a press release.

‘Most of the time in Bangladesh, my work is celebrated for my role as an actor rather than a painter. However, this solo exhibition explores my paintings as a true reflection as an artist,’ said Sazu Khadem.

Noting that this is the first solo exhibition hosted by the gallery, which typically organises group exhibition, Sazu said, ‘I am deeply grateful to the organisers and offer my endless gratitude to the Bangladeshi community here for their immense cooperation.’

My goal is to represent Bangladesh in the global art world, he mentioned, adding, ‘The Pflugerville Arts Council has scheduled a live art show for June.’

The event also included a traditional Bangla musical performance during a reception on March 21. The exhibition began on March 14 and will run until April 10.
