Sam Mendes is gearing up to release four separate Beatles biopics, each centred on a different member of the legendary band. Announced at CinemaCon, the films are slated for a simultaneous theatrical release in April 2028.

The cast includes Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon.

The project, titled "The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event", is described by Mendes as the "first binge-able theatrical experience," though it's not yet clear if the films will release all at once or weekly.

According to the official description: "Each man has his own story, but together they are legendary."

Mendes said the scale of the Beatles' story was too vast for one film or a series, so he chose to tell it from four unique perspectives. The project marks the first narrative film granted rights to the Beatles' full music catalog.

The production is expected to span an entire year, underscoring the vast ambition behind the venture.

According to Sony Pictures Chairman Tom Rothman, the magnitude of the project rivals that of "Avatar", as he described it as one of the most monumental efforts ever witnessed in the history of cinema.
