The Bangladesh Semiconductor Industry Association is set to kick off ‘USA Roadshow 2026’ today, as part of the Silicon River and BRAINGAIN initiatives, aiming to enhance Bangladesh’s connection with the global semiconductor ecosystem.
Running until June 13, the 9-day roadshow will bring together semiconductor companies, universities, accelerators, entrepreneurs, researchers, investors, policymakers, and members of the Bangladeshi diaspora across the United States.
The initiative is being led by BSIA president MA Jabbar and chief architect of Silicon River Bangladesh Initiative and Purdue University professor Muhammad Mustafa Hussain, with participation from BSIA leadership, industry representatives, academic partners, members of the BRAINGAIN network, and representatives from the Embassy of Bangladesh in Washington, DC.
The roadshow will visit key semiconductor and innovation hubs in the US.
On Friday, that is today, in Austin, Texas, the delegation will meet with AMD, Tokyo Electron and NXP Semiconductors.
A BRAINGAIN Reception Lunch is scheduled for June 6.
On June 7 in Phoenix, Arizona, there will be a BRAINGAIN Reception Dinner.
On June 8, the group will tour Arizona State University and Cactus Materials.
Meetings in Silicon Valley are planned for June 9 with SanDisk and GlobalFoundries and on June 10, visits to Synopsys and Credo Technology Group in Folsom, California.
On June 11, engagements are set with Intel, Arm and other industry leaders.
The roadshow wraps up on June 13 in Portland, Oregon, with a final BRAINGAIN Reception Dinner for Bangladeshi-origin tech professionals from the Pacific Northwest.
Jabbar said, ‘Through Silicon River and BRAINGAIN, we are building bridges between global expertise and national aspirations. Our goal is to create opportunities for future generations, strengthen our innovation ecosystem, and position Bangladesh as a meaningful participant in the technologies that will shape the future.’
Mustafa Hussain said, ‘This roadshow is designed to strengthen relationships with global industry leaders, universities, entrepreneurs, investors and the Bangladeshi diaspora while creating pathways for knowledge exchange, workforce development, innovation and long-term ecosystem growth.’
