Actor Pori Moni is reuniting with filmmaker Gias Uddin Selim after four years for a new web film titled “Separation”.

Pori Moni has often referred to Selim as her mentor. In previous interviews, the actress has said that it was while working in his film “Swapnajaal” that she learnt how to internalise a character and translate it onto the screen.

The two last worked together in the 2022 film “Gunin”. The project also marked a significant chapter in Pori Moni’s personal life, as she entered into a relationship with her co-star Sarifula Razz during the production. The relationship ended two years ago.

Shooting for “Separation” has already begun in the capital’s 300 Feet area. However, details about the story and Pori Moni’s character have yet to be revealed. Both the director and the actor have refrained from discussing the project ahead of an official announcement.

According to reports, the web film also stars Imtiaz Barshon and Sharlin Farzana, while actor Nirab Hossain will appear in a special role. 

“Separation” is set to be released on the OTT platform iScreen.

Pori Moni was most recently seen on the big screen in “Felubakshi”, which marked her Tollywood debut in January 2025. The film also starred Soham Chakraborty and Madhumita Sarcar. Her most recent OTT appearance was in Anam Biswas’ web series “Rongila Kitab”.

The actor is also awaiting the release of “Dodur Golpo”, directed by Reza Ghatak and produced with a government grant.

Pori Moni has also signed on for Shamsul Huda’s “Golap” and Leesa Gazi’s “Shasti”. She will star opposite Nirab Hossain in “Golap”, while “Shasti” will feature her alongside Chanchal Chowdhury.
