National Citizen Party (NCP) spokesperson Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain has transferred his voter registration from Dhaka South City Corporation to Aftabnagar under Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC).

He confirmed the development in a post on his verified Facebook page on Monday afternoon.

Asif Mahmud was previously registered as a voter under Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), and the NCP had named him as a mayoral candidate for the city corporation.

However, he recently applied to the Election Commission to transfer his voter registration to Aftabnagar under Dhaka North City Corporation.

The application was filed using Form 13, the Election Commission’s prescribed form for transferring voter registration from one area to another.

Following verification of the application and relevant documents, the Election Commission approved the transfer.
