A new horror film titled “Djinner Bachcha” is set to premiere on Chorki on February 19. Billed as a Chorki exclusive, the film promises a chilling story built around an unsettling question: why does a jinn’s child appear inside a human household?

This project has been directed by renowned actor Mostafizur Noor Imran, marking his official debut as a director. The project is produced under the banner of Methodica Creation in association with Master Communications. The recently released trailer hints at a psychological horror that explores fear from an unexpected angle, with the makers teasing “a horror you don’t even think of”.

The film features a strong ensemble cast including Mousumi Hamid, Azad Abul Kalam, Sarker Raunak Ripon, Anowarul Haque, Adrijeet Mondol, Ribon Khandaker, Rajeeb Hossain and Shakkhar Kundu Dip.

The story has been written by Shakkhar Kundu Dip, with the screenplay by Rajeeb Hossain. Cinematography is by Mohibullah Shanto, while editing and colour grading have been handled by Md Linkon. Sound design is by Nazmul Chowdhury, with music composed by E K Majumder Eshty.

Set to stream exclusively on Chorki from Thursday, “Djinner Bachcha” adds another local horror title to the platform’s growing catalogue of original Bangladeshi content.
