French media have asked the ​country's anti-trust watchdog to ‌act on Google's artificial intelligence-generated article summaries, ​which they say ​deprive them of traffic, ⁠a press trade association ​body said on ​Tuesday.

The media have called on the regulator to make ​a decision similar ​to the one in July that ‌ordered Meta to put forward a payment plan and resume talks with ​traditional ​media ⁠that are seeking fees for the ​use of their ​content ⁠by platforms' AI tools.

There was no immediate ⁠comment ​from Google ​regarding the situation.
