The Ganosamhati Andolan on Sunday said that the party wanted the complete implementation of the proposed budget for the 2026-27 financial year.
The party, a partner of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party government, also considered the budget as positive for the advancement of democratic rule in the county.
The executive coordinator of the party Abul Hassan Rubel at a press conference at its central office of Hatirpool in Dhaka demanded that the government should monitor the developments of budget implementation and it should declare openly in every three month.
‘So that the people of the country can see the developments and at the same time the accountability of the government can be visible,’ Rubal said.
Rubel also said that the economy of the country would be hampered and banks would suffer if government would take loans from the banks.
The budgetary allocations in the health, education and social safety nets are admirable and it will help the common people of the country, Rubal added.
Chaired by chief coordinator of the party Dewan Abdur Rashid Nilu, central leaders of the GSA Monir Uddin Pappu, Julhasnayeen Babu, Bachchu Bhuyan, Dipak Roy and Monirul Huda, among others, attended the press conference.
