Hybrid technology has become one of the most discussed topics in the automobile world today. While this technology is relatively familiar in cars, it is still quite new in the motorcycle segment.

With the combined initiative of Yamaha and ACI Motors, hybrid-technology motorcycles are entering the country’s market. In introducing new technologies to Bangladesh’s motorcycle industry, Yamaha and ACI Motors have consistently played a pioneering role.

Continuing this legacy, on January 16 at Le Méridien Dhaka, ACI Motors, the sole distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Bangladesh, officially announced the launch of Yamaha FZS Hybrid in the motorcycle market.

For quite some time, there had been widespread speculation and excitement among motorcycle enthusiasts regarding the arrival of a high-technology bike.

This model has already generated strong interest among bike lovers. Equipped with cutting-edge technology, the Yamaha FZS Hybrid features a hybrid engine that runs on a combination of fuel and battery power. Compared to conventional motorcycles, it delivers better mileage, quicker pickup, and reduced carbon emissions-making it more environment friendly.

The Yamaha FZS Hybrid comes with a fully loaded 4.2-inch TFT digital display, gear indicator, turn-by-turn navigation, LED headlamp, tail lamp, LED indicators, and a Smart Start & Stop System, which minimizes the hassle of manually switching the engine off and on at traffic signals.

In addition, it features Yamaha Y-Connect Bluetooth technology for enhanced connectivity.

The motorcycle is also equipped with advanced safety features such as ABS and TCS, technologies commonly found in cars.

Initially, the model will be available in two colors-Cyan Metallic Grey and Racing Blue-across all authorized Yamaha showrooms in Bangladesh.

At the initial stage, customers will be able to purchase the motorcycle through a pre-booking system.

At the inauguration ceremony, a musical performance was delivered by popular band Dalchhut’s Bappa Mazumder.

The launch ceremony was attended by Subrata Ranjan Das, managing director of ACI Motors, with Hiroshi Setogawa, director- sales, Yamaha Motor India, participating virtually.

Senior officials from both Yamaha and ACI Motors were also present at the launch event.
