Gulshan police of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) arrested 53 people, including 24 men and 29 women, from two spa centres in the area last night for their alleged involvement in “antisocial activities”.

According to DMP’s media and public relations division press release issued today (Thursday), acting on a tip-off, police conducted raids between around 8:00pm and 9:30pm at ‘Gulshan One Salon’ on Road No. 24 and ‘Hot Stone Spa’ on Road No. 99 under Gulshan Police Station, BSS reports.  

The arrestees were caught red-handed, engaging in prostitution and other “antisocial activities” at the spa centres, said the release.

The DMP said necessary legal proceedings against the arrestees are underway.

It said that police will continue its drives against such antisocial activities.
