US President Donald Trump has written to Prime Minister Tarique Rahman as Bangladesh has agreed to purchase more Boeing aircraft from the United States.

The Prime Minister’s Press Wing confirmed on Tuesday that Tarique received the US president’s letter.

According to the Press Wing, President Trump thanked Tarique in the letter for the decision to purchase Boeing aircraft. He said Boeing would not disappoint Bangladesh.

In the letter, written on White House letterhead on Monday, the US president said: “I will not forget your attention to this matter (the Boeing purchase).”

Trump hoped to meet with the prime minister soon.
