Six months into his tenure, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today expanded his cabinet, bringing in five new members and elevating one to full ministerial rank.
BNP Standing Committee Member Abdul Moyeen Khan, Bangladesh Jaitya Party (BJP) Chairman Andaleeve Rahman, and BNP lawmaker Sa Ching Pru took the oath as ministers.
Rashiduzzaman Millat, the current State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism, took the oath in the position of full minister.
BNP MP Shamim Kaiser Lincoln and PM's Foreign Affairs Adviser Humaiun Kobir were also sworn in as state ministers.

With three new ministers and two state ministers sworn in, the cabinet now has 51 members, including the prime minister. Of them, 28 are ministers and 23 are state ministers.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman formed the incumbent government on February 17 with a 48-member cabinet, including himself.
In addition, the prime minister appointed 10 advisers -- five with the rank of minister and five with the rank of state minister -- though they are not cabinet members.
Following the election of Liberation War Affairs Minister Hafiz Uddin Ahmad as Speaker, BNP lawmaker Ahmed Azam Khan was appointed head of the ministry on March 13.
Later, Chittagong Hill Tracts (CHT) Affairs Minister Dipen Dewan resigned on June 1, 2026, citing health complications. His post has remained vacant since.
