Rajshahi Stars FC capped off a perfect campaign by securing the Women's Football League (WFL) title with a commanding 3-0 victory over Bangladesh Army SC in their final match at Birshrestha Shaheed Mostafa Kamal Stadium on Friday.
After a goalless first half, Alpi Akter, Shaheda Akter Ripa and Ritu Porna Chakma each found the net to seal the championship in Rajshahi’s debut season.

Alpi, who struck twice, finished the season with 29 goals, matching Aungmraching Marma’s tally from the 2012–13 season -- the joint second-highest in league history. Former national captain Sabina Khatun still holds the record with 35 goals in the 2019–20 season.
Army, who required a win to force a title-deciding play-off, were left disappointed despite controlling much of the early proceedings.
Rajshahi had reinforced their squad by flying in Nepalese players Bimala BK and Dipa Shahi, but Army kept them under pressure in the first half. The champions, however, regrouped after the break and produced a far more composed and clinical display to score three times and seal the title in style.
