An Indian national was injured in Border Guard Bangladesh firing at Borolekha border in Moulvibazar on Saturday evening as two Indian smuggling suspects attacked BGB members with sharp weapons after entering Bangladesh territory.
Border guard headquarters, in a release, said that when the border guards challenged the two Indian snuggling suspects at Borolekha border, they launched an attack on the BGB members with sharp weapons at about 8:45pm on Saturday.
‘The BGB opened fire in self defence and bring the situation under control. The bullet wounded and another smuggler fled to India,' the release added.
