A case was filed on Thursday over the killing of former general secretary of the Dhaka North Swechchhasebak Dal Azizur Rahman Musabbir, who was shot to death by unidentified killers in an alley near Star Kabab on Kazi Nazrul Islam Avenue near Karwan Bazar in Dhaka on Wednesday night.

Musabbir’s wife Suraiya Begum filed the case on Thursday morning, naming four to five unidentified suspects, said Kya Swee Nue, officer-in-charge of Tejgaon police station.

No one has been arrested so far, the OC said.

‘The police are investigating the incident to determine the motive behind the murder and efforts are on to arrest the killers,’ added the police official.

The shooting took place right after 8:00pm on Wednesday near Tejturi Bazar, the police said.

In the incident, Abu Sufian Masud, general secretary of Karwan Bazar Van Association, also received bullet injuries and is undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
